Workshop Privacy Policy

What is a Workshop?
Workshops are conducted on line using IM style text chat but run in a group environment. They can range from simple question and answer sessions to hands on experiences and exercises. Workshops are fun and easy and anyone is invited to participate. Workshops start promptly at the workshop time (when the counter hits zero) and run about an hour to an hour and a half. We hope to see you there. The easiest way to start is to use the provided (above) chat interface to join the workshop.

Internet Relay Chat (IRC):
If you rather use your own chat software instead of the browser based software located above, here is the information you need:

IRC Network: IRCNet

IRC Channel: #ENERGYWORKS

Press here for a complete list of IRCNET Servers

Who's Who on the Channel

Hermes (teacher)
Iris (teacher)
Attuned (assistant teacher)
Gamble (channel operator / will assist if asked)
Jason (channel operator)
GamBot (main channel sentry)
ZenBot (backup channel sentry)
hermeslogger (a program that captures the chat text for later posting on the website)

One more thing to mention, on the channel you will find GamBot and ZenBot, these are not people you can talk to. They are programs that monitor the channel and keep it open.
