<FORTYoz_> Hermes`: had it for about 1 and a half years.. really messed with my life
<Hermes`> fortyoz, great, kick that stuff in the butt, life is too short to be in that state.

<Hermes`> magiman, spinning helps to balance out your energy field and get rid of the heavier negative energies.

<Gargowl> I hear one direction attracts positive energy and the other negative...

<Cyprus> there is a technique to maintain a lucid dream

<Hermes`> the rule of thumb is clockwise is positive, but this is not something the universe subscribes too all the time.
<Hermes`> spin whatever way you feel compelled to do

<Gargowl> also clockwise or not depends of where are you seeing it from...
<Hermes`> just watch out for the any flowers in vases
<Gargowl> I may spin my arm in front of me clockwise, but for the person in front of me I'm spinning counterclockwise
<Hermes`> high speed spinning in an OBE. Well more than likely you can find better things to do in an OBE than spin. However if you do do something like this, you will no doubt wind up in another place

<Hermes`> I can't say that I am a practicer of spinning. I get real dizzy from it. But others have done it and found it has great results.

<Hermes`> there is another good centering routine, which is like the MPE but a bit more advanced...

<Hermes`> you concentrate on a spot that is about 20 feet (6 meters) over your head
<MagicMan> isn't it nice sharing? :)
<Hermes`> you have to actually try to touch this spot with your mind...
<Hermes`> then you do the same but 20 feet (6 meters) under the earth
<Hermes`> when you have both those spots clearly in your mind, or imagination...
<Hermes`> you connect both spots with energy from top down, going through your entire body...
<Hermes`> you become like a big electric circuit...
<MagicMan> nice
<Hermes`> energy goes in the top and out the bottom
<Hermes`> you do this for 30 seconds or so. Then go about your way.

<Hermes`> here is another great technique for fixing broken things, it draws on the same exercise...

<Hermes`> this can be a great routine to start a car that won't start,
<Hermes`> or fix something you can't replace just yet.
<Hermes`> it works on computers too
<Hermes`> it is not a cure all, just a short patch work
<Gargowl> I usually feel that MPE's work much better when I'm in contact with water (I always do one when I take a shower)...
<Gargowl> does water help energy or something like that?
<Hermes`> yea Gargowl that is a good variation on the routine
<Hermes`> water is a great emotional grounding energy
<Hermes`> it also helps to balance out your chakra.
<Hermes`> so yea in the shower would work well.

<MagicMan`> it would be nice if you could make some note of those little tips on the website
<Hermes`> well with this enhanced version of the MPE (there is actually a name for this routine, but I can't think of it now) you don't need the colors.
<MagicMan`> I bet every main chakra as little neat trick for use in day-to-day life
<Hermes`> well the heart chakra is the chakra you use for healing
<Hermes`> so naturally if you want to fix something that is broke that is the chakra to use.
<Hermes`> but you are correct in that each chakra can have a use in everyday life in some way.

<Hermes`> imagine the spot 6 meters above the head, then below the feet, then connect the energy from top to bottom through yourself. If you want to fix something draw the energy out the heart chakra and into the device. If not just keep the energy for yourself.

<Hermes`> but the real cause stems back to the thinking process of the individual and what that person was creating in his or her life.
