<Alchymist> Hermes => I have an interesting "phenomenon" when I meditate...
<Alchymist> Hermes => When I start emptying thoughts I now hear a high pitched tune, and the louder I make it, the more altered my consciousness becomes???
<Hermes`> yes we get rain almost every day for about an hour here too. It is nice it keeps everything green.
<Hermes`> Alchymist, maybe it is some kind of signal from your spirit guide, or you could be tuning into something in your body.
<Alchymist> At one time I actually started vibrating with the same frequency, and it just kept on getting a higher frequency, and I followed... pretty cool feeling!
<Cyprus> hum...
<Cyprus> it's not actually a "phenomenon"

<Hermes`> it could be a way for you to reach a higher trance state.
<Hermes`> kind of like "Follow the Yellow Brick Road."
<Hermes`> you get to follow the tune
<Alchymist> Hermes It is... But have you heard of that kind of self-invoking sound signals? Oh yeah? *ss*
<Cyprus> I sometimes can listen to that sound too
<Cyprus> it's a sound that the brain "emits"
<Cyprus> (something like that)
<Cyprus> I have noticed that when I am sick (fever)
<Hermes`> I was thinking about the brain sound too, but not sure it changes in pitch
<Cyprus> this sound something becomes extremely loud
<Cyprus> making my headache even worst
<Alchymist> I've started thinking about when the pitch changes... higher pitch = higher state of awareness or what?
<Cyprus> I have seen somewhere that it can be used for aiding OBEs
<Alchymist> faster vibrations = higher frequency... perhaps I should try using crystals? I might be tuned in to them now?
<Hermes`> most likely the higher the pitch the higher you are vibrating
<Hermes`> it sounds like a real good signal to lock onto to achieve a trance state
<Alchymist> =) Hermes... would you recommend meditating north / south, or does it really matter?
<Hermes`> I've never had that sort of thing but perhaps now others will be able to tune into it, now that you have mentioned it.
<GargowL> I've read somewhere that it's better to have your head turned to the North to OBE
<Hermes`> well I do find that sometimes the position of your body helps for an OBE, but for meditation I just face anyway that feels right.
<Hermes`> I used to say North-South alignment was the best, but some students report that East-West is better. I guess you have to experiment.
<Alchymist> Hermes > might be... For me it has become really easy now to tune into the sound, and when I stick to it for under a minute I alter my awareness somehow... It's really relaxing (not annoying, Cyprus =)
<Alchymist> okay on the direction thing... *s*
<GargowL> that reminds me of something....
<Alchymist> I think I will be moving my bed to north / south... *ss*
<GargowL> sometimes I feel everything I am touching slowly pulsating, like it was breathing.... I always feel that when trying to OBE, but recently I can feel it anytime...
<Hermes`> well everything breathes in its own way. Perhaps you are getting very sensitive to this action.

<Hermes`> Thursday is meditation day.
<GargowL> I feel my body going up and down, very slowly, and if I concentrate on it, I start to feel it going just up, never coming down...
<GargowL> like a never-ending deep breath
<Alchymist> GargowL > when do you feel that?
<Hermes`> Gargowl, as you get better with sensing your consciousness within the body, you can actually feel yourself move around the body.
<GargowL> after concentrating on the "breathing" for a while

<Cyprus> that "breathing" is actually energy

<GargowL> not really...
<GargowL> and I have been feeling this every time I try to OBE
<GargowL> just recently I have started to feel it anytime
<Cyprus> do you have another term besides "breathing"
<Cyprus> that's the feeling I use to describe energy balls
<Cyprus> that's the term I use to describe energy balls
<GargowL> first I thought these were vibrations, but then I felt the real vibrations, and realized this was something else
<GargowL> I feel everything I touch slowly expanding and contracting...
<GargowL> I think "breathing" is an appropriate term :)
<Hermes`> The Universe breathes. It is called the "Breath of Brahma."
<Cyprus> isn´t that what you feel when making an energy ball?
<GargowL> no
<Hermes`> energy moves in and out with this breathing like action.
<Hermes`> it is said, that if you can tune into the Breath of Brahma, you can achieve instant peace and perfect harmony.
<GargowL> with energy balls I only feel it constantly pushing out, it doesn't pulsate...
<Hermes`> perhaps you are sensing this energy action.
<Cyprus> interesting
<Cyprus> when I make energy balls I feel the "breathing"
<Cyprus> it expands and contracts
<GargowL> what about the end? when it constantly expands without contracting?
<Hermes`> The Breath of Brahma is a breathing like action. It really does not continually expand.
<Cyprus> with me it always contract
<Cyprus> but sometimes it contracts less that it expands
<Hermes`> you can sense this moving action with energy balls.
<Hermes`> and it does change in intensity and rhythm from day to day and moment to moment

<MagicMan> gargowl told me you got a request to help a newly dead relative of someone from here and you thought it was him?

<Hermes`> I'm sure it was him
<Hermes`> his grandmothers sister
<MagicMan> why is that
<Hermes`> sometimes people get lost after they die and they have to be collected.
<MagicMan> he told me that he didn't have newly dead relative
<MagicMan> then again time is simultaneous on the non-physical
<Hermes`> I thought he told me his grandmother's sister had died
<Hermes`> but that he did not know her
<MagicMan> just asking cuz it could be possible it was me asking for that sick person. not dead though
<MagicMan> well no matter...see you all
<PureHeart> how do you help such?
<MagicMan> hmm I'd like that to know the answer to that too :)

<Hermes`> myself and a small team of others go in and hone in on the person's energy signature....
<Hermes`> then when we find where they are in the nonphysical, we try to help them to leave and move into the light.
<Hermes`> usually they are stuck in dark psychological places
<PureHeart> how do you help them leave?
<Hermes`> and because states of the mind are real places in the nonphysical, there are an infinite number of these.
<MagicMan> that small group intrigues me
<Hermes`> we try to give them what they need in terms of emotional support, love...
<Hermes`> sometimes we will try to reason with them to get them to realize they have died...
<Hermes`> sometimes we will put on a drama to help them...

<Hermes`> they may expect something to happen in death because of their belief systems
<Hermes`> in these case we have to play this drama out for them.

<Hermes`> yes it can be very rewarding work
<Hermes`> It does magicman, that is the point
<Hermes`> sometimes that expectation can be a trap.

<Hermes`> in the case of some of the more negative thoughts on death
<MagicMan> It's probably the same group you've told us about before but...its so secret society like to me ehehe
<Hermes`> well it is really not so grand.
<Hermes`> I don't know anyone by physical face in this nonphysical group (does that make sense)
<Hermes`> in other words
<MagicMan> like: show us the secret handshake

<Hermes`> they are people like me with some ability and we come together on the nonphysical to do these helpful tasks
<MagicMan> how did you come about that anyway?
<Hermes`> well like any other thing we kind of all just met on the nonphysical

<MagicMan> you've met one and he sez hey know this person..."we could have a non physical party and such what do you think"
<Hermes`> I'm sure some grander hand moved us all into the same nonphysical space.
<PureHeart> hand.. not your thoughts?

<Hermes`> I suppose the need to be part of something

<Hermes`> animals are different...
<Hermes`> when they die they go on the etheric plane, but into a separate area of it...
<Hermes`> and then they wait to be reborn..
<Hermes`> they have their own evolutionary path
<PureHeart> oh ic..
<Hermes`> it is not our path, however,
<Hermes`> pets do learn a great deal and evolve much because of their interaction with us.
<Hermes`> I was told a long time ago..
<Hermes`> that if a pet wanted to become human, then four or five animal souls had to merge into one.
<Hermes`> I have not really heard much about it since then, however.
<Hermes`> I know that with my own pet I can take him up to the astral plane...
<Hermes`> but beyond that he can not pass...
<Hermes`> and this high-level is only because of my own energy which he picks up on.
<PureHeart> well in the last 10 years 6 dogs left me.. maybe they joined and became a human..
<Hermes`> yes that can happen
<Hermes`> when my last dog died...
<Hermes`> I was told that he would return to me in another form at some point...
<Hermes`> so perhaps, all my pets will get together and become a human soul one day too.
<Hermes`> that could prove to be an interesting meeting for sure.
