<Hermes`> at the time I did not know this was some kind of communication from another dimension
<Hermes`> then one day I decided to write this stuff down

<Hermes`> then perhaps about a year or two went on and one day this voice said it was Hermes
<Hermes`> which I found strange because my name was Tom
<Hermes`> then I found out that this was channeling and that I was in communciation with this hermes person
<Hermes`> so I started to strike up conversations with this entity, all the while thinking, yes I am mad
<Hermes`> a few years later this being did say to me that he was Hermes Trismegistus, a later incarnation of Thoth
<Hermes`> which I was unaware who those people were
<Hermes`> then I found out
<Hermes`> actually today I rarely hear that voice inside like I did
<Hermes`> over the years a kind of merging has gone on
<Hermes`> so the voice is really mostly indistinguishable from my own

<Hermes`> The Thoth person is the more ancient form, and while I can sometimes sense this being, that connection is more distant

<Robael1> Is there only one tree of life, or is there more of them, like one for our cosmos, and other for another spaces?

<Hermes`> well each level of reality I think has its own version of the Tree of Life.
<Hermes`> The Monadic plane for example has a complete learning system there as well.
<Hermes`> but of course we cannot really use this system while we are physical.
<Hermes`> but the basic Tree of Life structure is supposed to be a kind of constant in the Universe
<Robael1> Monadic plane? There are 7 planes, or much more? I mean etheric, astral, mental, buddhic, atmic etc...
<Robael1> which one is monadic?
<Hermes`> the Monadic plane comes after the Atmic
<Hermes`> the idea of course is to merge yourself with your divine self that sits on the Monadic plane. If you do that you ascend into your light body.
<Hermes`> then your training begins again, but in a new system
<Hermes`> training^
<Robael1> ok. As human, have I some chance to get to some higher planes? How far?

<Hermes`> I do think we can also reach parts of the lower Monadic plane when the time is right

<Hermes`> well, if you approach it properly it is relatively safe
<Hermes`> like seeking your connection with Sandalphon or one of the other archangels
<Hermes`> that way they can help and guide you around the more not so nice spots of the nonphysical
<Robael1> One man in slovakia, he is reiki master, he teached some people to astral travel,
<Hermes`> most likely they were taught properly then
<Robael1> and he takes them out,
<Hermes`> magicman: both Orion and Iris will be in about 30 minutes
<Hermes`> yes we do a mild form of that on Thursday, with travel meditation
<Hermes`> A master can radiate his students so that it is easier for them to nonphysical travel
<Robael1> and he said that two of them didn't want to go back
<Hermes`> ah hehe
<Hermes`> yes that does happen
<Hermes`> it can be a nice place at times
<Hermes`> however, everyone returns
<Robael1> it is possible?
<Hermes`> no not really, you can want to stay out, but your body will pull you back
<Hermes`> there are real energy mechanisms in place that the body and consciousness have to abide by
<Robael1> I mean, to not return to body before your time of death come?
<Hermes`> and you just can't say I'm not coming back"

<Hermes`> and of course, you are not alone
<Hermes`> your spirit guide is there with you and he or she will always make sure you return

<Hermes`> well I would not say he was lying. He was telling a truth..
<Hermes`> sometimes a student may not want to return so they will fight to stay out...
<Hermes`> the teacher at this point can withdraw the energy and the student will return
<Hermes`> or the teacher could wait till the body pulled the student back
<Hermes`> it would depend on the lesson
<Robael1> What do you think about transmission of reiki ability from master to student for money?
<Hermes`> well, in the past there has always been some kind of exchange between master and student...
<Hermes`> it was not really in the form of money.
<Hermes`> today, however bartering of services is not that common anymore
<Hermes`> I can't say it is a good thing or a bad thing. I just hope that the less fortunate who do not have the money can find means to acquire these skills
<Robael1> How can I call upon Sandalphon? Speaking his name as mantra? or speaking mantra AH DOH NAI MEL ECH?

<Hermes`> I suppose the OHMMM mantra would work best for that

<Hermes`> well that is originally in Hebrew and translated into English
<Hermes`> basically you just have to sound that one out
<Hermes`> as it sounds the same in Hebrew as it does in English
<Robael1> When you astral travel, is your consciousness as clear as in wake state of day, or clearer or it's more like lucid dream?
<Hermes`> it is very clear, more clear than being awake because your consciousness is expanded and free of time and space. When you return to the body you feel smaller and less.
<Robael1> I had many lucid dreams, but no real OBE, I think, because my consciousness was not so clear and vivid as in day, but I always fly, when I lucid dream
<Hermes`> very good, that shows your consciousness is very elastic already
<Robael1> Is lucid dream an OBE on low energy level?
<Hermes`> I used to love my lucid flying dreams when I was a kid
<Hermes`> yes a lucid dream can be said to be a low level out of body travel. In a lucid dream you are more limited to where you can travel.
<Robael1> yes I love them too, I scream of freedom of fly and move
<Robael1> one time I try to do some kind of MPE in lucid dream, cause I hope my consciousness will vivider, but then I blink out and fall asleep
<Hermes`> MPE's in lucid dreams are unpredictable, I have found. You can do them but the extra energy can wink you out, or wake you up, or send you out of the body.
<Robael1> sorry of my English, I mean it in the past
<Hermes`> Robael, your English is fine,
<Robael1> how can I transform lucid dream into OBE, when I wake up in the dream?
<Hermes`> well my technique is to walk through a wall or door or a window
<Hermes`> Magicman what do you do in that case?
<Hermes`> some of the guys have different techniques for that one
<Hermes`> with my technique when you emerge out the other side you should be in a full OBE.
<Robael1> Oh, I don't think this. I always walk through the walls in lucid dreams, but how can I achieve more vivid consciousness when I wake up in the dream
<Hermes`> have you tried to just go someplace far away
<Hermes`> like travel to another country or out into space. I would think any of these things would require more energy and should get you going.
<Robael1> yes, but after while I fall asleep again...
<Robael1> perhaps I need more energy works
<Hermes`> well if you take an OBE or a lucid dream too long, you will fall back into sleep. You have to terminate them manually when you feel you have gathered enough information and wake up. When you wake up from a terminated OBE or lucid dream you can anchor the information and remember it better.
<Hermes`> and bring back more of that real feeling from it
<MagicMan`> I see iris and orion will drop by, nice...
<MagicMan`> I'm pretty much away from the computer right I'll be checking how the chat is going from time to time

<Robael1> when I fly in dream, I can fly only to some height, then I can not go farther, why?
<Hermes`> that is because you are in your first nonphysical body, your dream body. it has very limited abilities
<Robael1> I tried to go out to space, but I couldn't
<Hermes`> what you have to do is lighten the body a bit and change it to the second nonphysical body. Then you will have more freedom...
<Robael1> How can I switch to another nonphysical body?
<Hermes`> however from a lucid dream you cannot switch the bodies

<Hermes`> what you can try, which I do, is to float upward and at the same time kind of stretch yourself.
<Robael1> and when you do OBE, how can you switch?
<Hermes`> keep stretching yourself and when enough of the energy has been dispersed your body will shift
<Hermes`> you can try this from a lucid dream and let me know how it works
<Hermes`> it may work for you from a lucid dream as it seems you are very proficient in these dreams.

<Hermes`> well to read them I have to go there in an out of body state
<Hermes`> I can't do that from my regular physical consciousness. Some people can channel that information. My nonphysical connection seems to go to Hermes and back
<Hermes`> Pureheart how are your lucid dream skills?
<Pureness> Robael: I fall asleep with the thought "today I have ld" and wake up at 4am, I stay awake for some 15-30 minutes and then again fall asleep with that thought. that works for me in theory.
<Hermes`> Pureheart have you had any luck with making a lucid dream into an out of body event.? Robael seems to be good at lucid dreaming but is unable to make that transition.
<Hermes`> he says my technique of walking through walls and doors do not work for him.
<Pureness> oh I see
<Pureness> Robael: when I get lucid, I just remember to come to where I sleep, and that makes the dream end. or I just say "this dream will now end". and then I get myself in the state where I just say I'll now get out of body. try maybe it would work

<Hermes`> I have not found the size of a Merkaba to be important, unless you were putting it around yourself, in which case it needs to be able to encompass you.
<Robael1> is Merkaba good for OBE? How? only for protection, or in some other way?
<Hermes`> the Merkaba is a good protective device. By tradition it was used by adapts for out of body travel. however today I find no such structure is necessary.
<Hermes`> ^ I mean no such structure is needed to achieve out of body travel.

<Hermes`> but then we know there are no such things as coincidences

<por--> yesterday it took me awake till 2.00 am and I was physically tired

<Hermes`> yea these connections can really send you lots of energy
<Hermes`> I suppose because to make the connection in the first place takes a lot of energy
<Hermes`> so you get the channeling and the energy
<Orion7> well remember one great way to dump allot of it so you can go to sleep is by sending allot away for the benefit of others you know need help
<Hermes`> don't worry soren, it will run out just in time for work
<Orion7> and of course this is great for your karma

<Orion7> at first I'd used all the energy on myself
<Orion7> and I'd spend whatever time it took spending the energy till
<Orion7> I wore out and got tired
<Orion7> then one day I had this bright idea and it'
<Orion7> has proved to be one of my best yet

<Hermes`> yes it was a good experience for magicman. He has a hard time seeing the physicalness of all this nonphysical stuff.

<Hermes`> originally we started these travel meditations because many of the denizens here were having so much trouble with out of body travel

<Iris> well, our physical selves don't want us to accept it
<sor_-> confusion is what I feel mostly in this period
<Hermes`> but something like Magicman's follow-up in the physical with our meditation helps to validate the experiences.
<Iris> and many people go through life never looking beyond their physical experiences
<Iris> so it is difficult for us
<Hermes`> yes most people do not see beyond the physical plane, but here we mix them together, so that is not easy to deal with in the physical world of people.
<Iris> it is scary because it does not follow the physical laws
<Iris> our physical selves tell us it cannot be this way
<Iris> but inside - our inner selves know the truth
<Iris> so we get confused for a while
<Iris> it is normal
<Hermes`> that is where you are soren, and magicman, and others that are learning here.
<sor_-> but when the inner self speaks is stronger that physical one
<Iris> and the more we experience these things, the more we tell our physical selves that it is ok
<sor_-> because you just know it, without thinking about it

<Iris> and that is what each of us has to listen to and follow
<Iris> perhaps that is the "oneness" that the king meant
<Iris> our physical selves stop us from experiencing that oneness within ourselves
<Iris> completely
<sor_-> coincidences doesn't exist, sometimes I wonder in my pre-existence life if I knew I'd met everyone here and learned what I'm learning

<Iris> I think we did know one another before - and have helped each other on our journeys before
<Iris> It impressed me too because it was so easy for us to share the experience
